Galbi

Down Bloem St, off Long St is the entrance to Galbi. A restaurant like no other. Galbi is a type of barbeque cuisine from Korea that allows the customers to cook the prepared food provided at their own tables. The owners of the Galbi restaurant have brought this great idea to Cape Town where everyone here loves a good braai.

This a really good place for groups of friends to get together and enjoy the cuisine. The menu supplies you with a great range of meats, chicken, seafood and veggie options. In the African style they have a selection of game meats like zebra, kudu, ostrich and warthog. Very reasonably priced but you will find yourself ordering more than you can eat. This really great idea has intrigued us for a while and we were itching to try it out. We definitely recommend it for all. We do however recommend that in your group you have some person that has some experience with cooking over open flames or else you will be calling in sick the next day. And arrive early - you'll need the time to cook, chances are you will be so fascinated by the experience you won't cook everything at once.
