Wow! This
place really has it all. A beautiful setting that has you staring off into the
trees above you, a menu that suits anyone; especially your stomach, a patisserie/deli
counter that will have you drooling in front of everyone, a very well put together
wine list and even a selection of fresh smoothies for those extra hot days we've been having.
We’ve
been there a couple of times now and it never disappoints. Located at the
Alphen Spa in Constantia and open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It doesn't have a large menu
that you get lost in but you will be definitely questioning each dish as you
try to make a decision -and even if you take a chance at something you won’t be
disappointed. Their blueberry flapjacks are a must, they leave a taste in your
mouth that you never want to go away. Their fillet is always cooked to
perfection and finished off with a lovely béarnaise. The pork belly is one that
even Babe would give a prize to. A salted caramel tart that will literally make
you wish you could regurgitate it back up again so you can savour its flavours
again.
Yes this
a spending place, but well worth a try.
